Welcome to the Generational Healing Class

Welcome to my Generational Healing Class. I’m so glad that you’ve all joined me, and will be looking forward to watching your progress and freedom as we go throughout the class.

I wanted to introduce myself first off and give you an idea of what to expect. I hold a BA in biology and chemistry and a MS in Occupational Therapy. Although neither apply directly to this work, they have shaped the way that I view information. My interest in inner healing of all sorts began partly because of what I saw throughout my career as an OT.

I’ve been investigating generational healing for more than 10 years. I don’t remember what particularly sparked my interest, but I do remember that some of the earliest things that I did was to pray off the effects of Freemasonry from my bloodline. I listened to podcasts, went to conferences, and gathered a rather impressive collection of books. I really started gaining a practical approach when I attended my first Splankna training early in 2011 followed by SOZO in 2012 if I remember rightly. I saw significant improvements in many areas in my own life, and in the lives of friends and family who were my primary “clients” in those days. As I continued to read and learn, I developed what I’ve discovered to be a fairly unique approach to this work.

What I can’t do, is go back and pinpoint where each bit of information came from. The research scientist part of me is a bit appalled at that…but I wasn’t learning to teach, I was learning to do. It’s only been the last few months that I’ve noticed that there isn’t really a practical course out there to teach people about how to do their own generational healing. And while I consider myself to be still learning, I determined to share what I did know in order to help as many people as possible. Most of what I will be teaching, I did, in fact, learn from someone else. I’ve begun to re-read some of my books so that I can hopefully support what I teach with appropriate references. But, that will be a work in progress. As I go, I’ll be making note of the books I find the most helpful so that you can refer to those as well if you would like.

Please respond below each thread with any questions that you might have. I can’t promise that I will know the answer to every question, but if I don’t, I will tell you, and I will see if I can find an answer for you. The questions you ask will be very helpful to me in making sure that the course content is as comprehensive as possible.

I want this class to be a safe place to learn and to receive healing. To that end, I expect all students to treat one another with kindness and respect. Please be careful of your “tone” especially with online communications. On the other hand, please assume the best about those who are commenting. The downside to text-based communication is that you can’t see the person’s face, their posture, or hear their tone of voice. I believe that each person here is a valuable asset to the class and will assume that all comments are meant to be kind and helpful. If I notice, or am made aware of, any person who is being rude or dishonoring, I will speak to them directly. If the behavior does not improve, they will be removed from the public interactions in the class. I highly doubt it will be necessary, but every effort will be made to keep this group a safe and healing place.

I realize that people learn in all sorts of different ways, and for some words on a page are about the worst thing ever. I also realize that for some, text allows them to quickly grasp what they need to learn and move on rather than wade through audio or visual material. Although this class will be primarily text based to begin with, I will be adding audio and video as I can, and as I feel that the information provided is as complete as possible.

If you need me to present the material to you in another form, please do not hesitate to ask. The downside of being a teacher is that you generally present information in the way that you learn best. And, something may be very clear to you that is horribly confusing to others. I recognize and own this weakness, so I will in no way be offended if you need further clarification. In fact, I will be greatly saddened to learn at the end of the class that you were confused the whole time. I cannot reiterate enough that I want you to ask questions if something is not clear. I will assume that all is well if I do not hear otherwise.

I can’t think of any other housekeeping tasks there might be at this time, so I will leave you for now until Lesson 1. Each lesson will be labeled clearly, and it is recommended that you complete them in order, especially if the information is new to you. You can skip around if you like, but if something isn't clear, please back up and read through the earlier lessons.
